  • A "pracademic" with both academic and practical experience as analyst, manager and trainer in intelligence and security in South Africa, Africa and the US.

  • International Relations and Political Science background with a MPhil (Information and Knowledge Management) from Stellenbosch University (ZA) and a Professional Doctorate in Security Risk Management from the University of Portsmouth (UK).

  • Assistant Professor from 2022-2024 at Mercyhurst University Ridge Department of Intelligence Studies

  • Honorary Senior Research Fellow at Buckingham University Centre for Security and Intelligence Studies with 84 citations across various disciplines.​
